Debra Lorensen, 63, of Willmar, died Thursday, November 12th at Carris Health Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. Her funeral will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 17th at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spicer City Cemetery. www.hafh.org

Debra was born May 30, 1957, in Willmar, the daughter of Anton β€œTony” and Dorothy (Hogstad) Swart. She grew up in the area and graduated from New London High School in 1975. On January 3, 1976, she was united in marriage to Jeff Lorensen at Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer. Following their marriage, she worked for Mack and Daby Law Firm, Cenex, and Cazador Inn but she was most proud to be home to raise her children.

She enjoyed playing cards, dice, and board games with friends and especially her family. Debra was a wonderful cook, an avid reader and always looked forward to go for a drive and look for deer.

Surviving are her husband, Jeff, and children: Dan (and Heather Fredeen) Lorensen of Willmar; Chris (and Edwina) Lorensen of Willmar; Matt Lorensen of Atwater; Jeremy Lorensen of Buffalo Lake; Heather (and Nathan) Thul of Buffalo Lake; and Alison (and Jason Bratton) Lorensen of Morris; 10 grandchildren and also surviving are her siblings, Donald (and JoLynn) Swart of Spicer and Linda (and Jake) Klein of St. Paul and brother-in-law, James Schutz of Eden Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Swart and sister, Dianne Schutz along with her grandson, Tyler Lorensen.
