Evelyn Bredeson

Evelyn Bredeson, a long-time resident of Willmar, MN, died Saturday, May 2, 2020 at White Pines Senior Living in Mendota Heights, MN.

A private celebration of her life was held on Wednesday, May 6. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home, hafh.org.

She was born August 7, 1926 in Hardwick MN to Henry and Frieda (Kuhlmann) Dammermann. Evy grew up in the Maynard / Clara City area. Evy worked at the Fireside Inn and at Elmquist Jewelers. At Elmquist Jewelers, she enjoyed designing displays and windows throughout the store. Most special to her was sharing time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her four daughters: Kathy, Nancy, Peggy (Ivar Siqveland), and Kristy. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Theodore Mattson (Nina Mattson), Ingrid Bredeson (Shane Wendlandt) and Ana Harbitz (Matt Harbitz); and two special great-grandchildren: Theodore and Tristan Deline Mattson, all of whom live in Minnesota.

Evy was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, whom she married in April 1946; and their son, Ricky who died in 1960. She was also preceded by her parents, Henry and Frieda; and siblings: Rosie, Harold, Arnold, Linda and Lorraine.
