Gerald J. Reimann

Gerald J. Reimann, 86, of Elrosa, died Saturday May 9, 2020, at his home near Elrosa. A private family service will be held. Services Are entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade. www.hafh.org 

Gerald Joseph Reimann was born on January 15, 1934, on the family farm in Lake George Township, the son of John and Margaret (Och) Reimann. He grew up on the family farm where he attended a small country school, Gerald then went on to graduate from Belgrade High School with the Class of 1952. On March 7, 1959, Gerald was united in marriage to Iva Hagen at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa. This union was blessed with two daughters and a son. The family made their home on Gerald’s family farm where they farmed, milked cows, and raised animals. Farming was Gerald’s passion. He farmed all his life retiring in 2016. After his retirement Gerald stayed on the farm; he lived there his entire life. On December 16, 2009, Iva passed away. They shared in 50 years of marriage before her death. Gerald was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was also a former director on the Belgrade CO-OP Board. Gerald enjoyed bowling and was a member of a bowling team when he wasn’t farming. Gerald F. Reimann is survived by children: Terry of Belgrade, Nancy (Dave) Bertram of Belgrade, and Susan (Dave) Meyer of Belgrade; grandchildren: Rebecca Hukriede, John Reimann, Shayla Wiechman, Whitney Bertram-Reents, Stacy Meyer, Stephanie Brauch, and Jeremy Meyer; great-grandchildren: Sophia, Tayjah, Carter, Kinlee, Will, Cayden, Kaylee, and Chloe; and many nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Iva; siblings, Wilfred Reimann, Hilaria Rosinger, Armella Imdieke, and Claude Reimann.
