Jeanne Marie Jennum


Age 59, passed away at Mercy Hospital on Sunday, December 12, 2021 after a short battle with Covid.

Jeanne was born on August 3, 1962 in Willmar, MN to Kermit and Barb Gimse. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1980 and continued her education at McConnell Travel School. Jeanne married Richard Jennum, Jr. on November 7, 1987. Together they have two sons, Brandon and Adam. Jeanne worked at Brownsworth Inc. in Accounts Receivable for 22 years. They began their life together in Omaha, NE and then made Anoka, MN their home for the past 23 years.

Jeanne was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister but her favorite title was “Nana”, given to her by her three grandsons, Rory, Liam, and Sean Jennum. Jeanne enjoyed spending time with her family, singing praises to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and traveling the country with her husband. Jeanne loved to serve others by working at the church booktable, singing in the church choir, or serving at other outreach opportunities. She had the ability to sense when people needed her help and she touched many lives with her generosity and loving compassion.

Jeanne will be greatly missed by her loving husband: Richard, sons: Brandon (Trisha) and Adam Jennum, grandsons: Rory, Liam and Sean, mother: Barbara Engwall, sisters: Kryss Grant, Ann (Jeremy) Furr, and Debra (Jeff) Hoyt, many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jeanne was preceded in death by father: Kermit Gimse, stepfather: David Engwall and brother-in-law: Bill Grant.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at LIVING WORD CHRISTIAN CENTER 9201 - 77th Ave. N. Brooklyn Park on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 12 NOON with visitation one hour prior and a reception following the service.  Memorials preferred.
