Judith “Judy” McKenzie

Judith “Judy” McKenzie, 77, of Kandiyohi, died Friday, February 14th at St. Cloud Hospital. A private family service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. www.hafh.org

Judy was born July 7, 1942, in River Falls, WI, the daughter of Leonard and Rose (Baribeau) Lee. The family moved to Annandale, MN, where she was raised and attended Annandale Public Schools.

On February 27, 1960, she was united in marriage to Gerald McKenzie at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale. They lived in St. Cloud before moving to rural Kandiyohi. She worked for 33 years at Willmar Regional Treatment Center.

Judy enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, reading and more than anything, visits from her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of tomatoes and her family thought she made the best brownies, apple crust bars and homemade spaghetti sauce. Her crab apple jelly was always coveted by her family and friends.

Surviving are her children: Timothy (and Jeanne) McKenzie of Richmond; Theresa (and Ron) Radunz of New London; Pete (and Bonnie) McKenzie of Willmar and Paul McKenzie of Spicer; 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings:

Lyman (and Norma) Lee, Pauline (and Wayne Hanson) DeLage, Kathy Cecka, Carolyun Lee, Janice (and Howard) Stein, Daniel (and Lisa) Lee and brother-in-law, David Cegon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gerald “Jerry” on October 11, 2019.
