Judith Korbl

Judith “Judi” Anne Havis Korbl, 67, Bismarck, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 20, 2020, at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Funeral arrangements are pending due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Burial will be held in Spring 2021 at Grafton Lutheran Cemetery, Grafton.
Judith Anne Havis was born on June 8, 1953 to James and Vivian (Moir) Havis in Detroit, Mich. Judi grew up in Grafton and graduated from Grafton High School in 1971. She married Donald Korbl on Jan. 1, 1972. Together they had four children: Kari, Kelly, Kenneth and Katie.
Judi worked at the bank in Park River until the family moved to Devils Lake where she became officer manager at Frith Law Office until 2001. Following Don’s retirement, the family moved to Kandiyohi, Minn., where Judi worked for the County Attorney’s Office until 2015 when she retired. Don and Judi desired to return to North Dakota and moved to Bismarck in 2019.
Judi enjoyed loving banter with Don, reading, sewing, cross-stitching, crocheting, craft and home projects, bowling with her gambling team and being with her grandchildren.
Judi is survived by her husband of 48 years, Don, Bismarck; children Kari (Leroy) Huizenga, Bismarck, Kelly (Brian) Kallevig, Kandiyohi, Minn., Kenneth, Bismarck, and Katie (Travis) Pull, Grand Forks; 15 grandchildren; sister, Penny (Lee) Anderson, Grafton; brother, Jim (Rita) Oslo, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews
Judi was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Janet Schanilec Schulze and Valerie Stark; and niece, Abby Stark.
