Scott A. Berghuis

Scott Allen Berghuis, 53, of Clara City, died Sunday, November 1st at St. Cloud Hospital. His visitation will be from 10-11:00 am, Friday, November 6th at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Clara City. Interment will be at Bethany Reformed Cemetery in Clara City following his visitation. www.hafh.org

Scott Allen Berghuis was born to Dallas and Sharon (Wolf) Berghuis in Willmar on May 14, 1967. Scotty was baptized at First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg and was confirmed at Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City. He grew up in Clara City where he attended elementary and graduated from Clara City High School in 1985. Scotty started working on a farm where he helped plant and harvest crops as well as many other tasks. He enjoyed fishing with his dad and his friends. Scotty also enjoyed camping and going on vacations with his parents. His favorite spots were Itasca and Forrestville State Parks. Scotty was a people person, often times he would sit outside his apartment and visit with people walking by. He will be remembered for his big heart. He was always someone who would help someone in need.

Scotty is survived by his parents: Dallas and Sharon; siblings: Steven Berghuis of Glencoe, Pam (Dave) Lieser of Clara City and Terry Miller of Maynard; nieces and nephews: Deb, Brad (Karen), Caitlin (Chris), Jordan (Christy) and Amanda (Casey); and great-nieces and nephews: Hailey, Adrienne, Jackson, Payten, Brookelyn, Madison, Mason, Keagen and Kalyah.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and great-nephew, Myles.
