After a four year battle with cancer, Gary Wayne Grussing passed away on November 23, 2021 at his home in Woodstock, Georgia.
Gary Grussing was born on November 22, 1943 in Montevideo to Martin and Hannah (Raske) Grussing. He grew up on the family farm near Clara City and graduated from Raymond HS and Hennepin Technical College. His entire working career was spent in the Hydraulics Industry, designing and selling systems across the USA.
Gary married Cheryl Schroeder of Raymond on October 15, 1960. Together the raised four children. Gary married Anita Norman of Davenport IA on September 5, 1987 and remarried her on September 5, 2021. They had two children.
Gary loved Vikings football, basketball, dancing, annual hunting and fishing trips with his family here in MN and all kinds of gadgets.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his brother James, daughter-in-law Lani(Eric) and grandson Jacob Thiher. Gary is survived by his wife Anita; his children: Terri(Mark) Thiher, Brian(Bernice), Scott(Jean), Eric(Christina), Daniel and Hannah Grussing, 15 grandchildren, 7 greatgrandchildren: sisters Marlys(David) Simpson, Linda(Steven) Spoors, sister-in-law Sheila(James), and brother Gene(Jo) Grussing.
A celebration of Gary’s life was held on November 30 in Georgia, A celebration of his life will also be held in Minnesota next summer.
