Jill Joleen Wotzka

On Tuesday, January 25, 2022, Jill Joleen Wotzka, age 69, passed on to eternal life in heaven through the precious blood of Jesus.

Jill was born February 21, 1952, the second of identical twins, and grew up in Windom, MN. She graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1974 and was employed as the Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing at Willmar Public Schools for 38 years.

Married to Richard Wotzka in 1980, Jill and Dick made their home in Willmar, MN where they raised two children, Arianne and Anthony (Tony) Wotzka.

In 2017, Jill and Dick moved to St. Cloud, MN and settled into their new patio home. Jill remained active in her local church and loved her bible study sisters in Christ. She inspired and brought hope to so many - patients and staff alike - at the Coborn Cancer Center with her unwavering smile and signature style.

As her family, friends, teaching peers, students, fellow patients, and even complete strangers can attest to, Jill’s insistent positive attitude constantly encouraged and brought light into others’ lives.

Jill is survived by her husband Dick of St. Cloud; daughter, Arianne Wotzka (fiancé Aaron Brownlee) of New York, NY; son, Tony (Jenny) Wotzka of Lakeville; precious grandchild, Sullivan Wotzka; twin sister, Jann (Terry) Schmidt of St. Cloud; and sisters, Jeannine (Dennis) Deters of Crooks, SD and Jade (John) Bastin of Trenton, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents Orville and Ruth Graue.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for early summer so that we can enjoy some of her favorite things - birds, flowers and all of her loved ones safely outside on a warm, sunny day.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks a donation on her behalf be made to either your local meal delivery service for seniors or the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
