Patricia Weltin

Patricia Lynn Weltin, age 73, of Olivia, MN, died October 28, 2020 at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Pat was born September 10, 1947 at Little Fork, MN, to Karl and Louise Olson. She graduated from Big Falls - Little Fork High School in 1965. Pat furthered her education in Duluth receiving an AA Degree in Accounting. She then worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth for several years. Pat married Cornell “Smokey” Weltin on August 17, 1974. They made their home in Colorado, then Ohio, and settled in Olivia in 1979. She was employed at the State Bank of Bird Island for 30 years. In retirement she worked at Super America and then Casey’s Convenience Store. She also found great joy in tutoring children learning to read through a program with the University of MN. Pat also served her community where she was active on the Library Board. Pat loved spending time with her family and especially with the five grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her husband Cornell “Smokey” Weltin; her son Paul (and Amy) Weltin of Alexandria; her daughter Christen Miller of Minneapolis; her five grandchildren: Gavin, Brynn, Ian, Henry, and Eleanor; her two brothers; and one sister.
