Rodney Swanberg

Rodney James Swanberg, age 66, Saint Cloud, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. He was born on July 26, 1953 to Robert and Mary (Anderson) Swanberg in Wilmar, Minnesota. Rod was a natural born salesman and he used this gift to sell cars, Fingerhut products, and at Willmar Cookie and Nut Company. He was a loyal friend and loving father. Over the past couple of years, he had come to peace with his demons and enjoyed a calmer, happier life. Rod loved spending time with his sons, his niece and nephews, and close friends. Several nephews commented that he was their favorite uncle. He is survived by his sons; Brandon (Jenna) Hubin, and Dylan (Erica) Hubin, grandchildren; Annabelle, Adelaide, Killian and Harper Hubin, his brother Bob (Sue) Swanberg and sisters; Susan (Matt) Wagner, Beth (Jeff) Illies and Anne (Russ) Runck, and special friends Tom, Ashley, and Sarah. He is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Mary Swanberg, his wife Kathryn and their daughter Summer. A private family memorial gathering to celebrate and honor his life will be held later this summer.
