Sandra A Wacek

Sandra A Wacek, age 78, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2020 at her home in Fremont, CA.

Sandra was employed by Crocker National Bank & Bank of American for 32 years. Sandy was an avid golfer and after retirement was a board member of several women’s clubs in the Fremont area. She loved history and researched the family tree over several years which allowed her to make many acquaintances and friends around the country and even Europe. She enjoyed reading, especially history, as evidenced by her very large private library of biographies and historical novels.  Sandy’s little library loaned books to numerous friends and neighbors.

She cared deeply for family & friends. She enjoyed spending time with them, whether it was playing cards or entertaining them for holidays. She was an amazing cook and always had leftovers for those who wanted extras to take home.

Christian burial services will be at a later date at St Aloysius Catholic Church with burial in the family plot in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her sisters & brothers, Joan Chirico of Fort Mill, SC, Gloria Serbus of Milaca, MN, Lane (and Marcy) Wacek of Olivia, MN, Kay Dickey of St Louis, MO, Doug (and Judy) Wacek of Burlington, VT and Kevin (and Patricia) Wacek of Coon Rapids, MN and her 23 nieces & nephews. 

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; Edward & “Ruth” Wacek; her brothers Brian Wacek, Dennis Wacek, Gary Wacek and sister, Lyndean Phinney and her sister-in-law Becky Wacek and brother-in-laws Dominick Chirico and Joseph Serbus.
