As I listen to the radio ads that Mary Sawatzky and her special-interest groups are running against Dave Baker, it becomes quite apparent that they are desperate and will say anything to try and smear Dave in order to win this election.
They have thrown a lot of accusations at Dave about not getting his work done, not supporting education, not fixing our roads, etc. Dave has worked hard to get those things included in bills, but this governor has blocked or vetoed those bills because they came from the wrong side of the aisle.
The truth is when you have a divided government, different parties controlling different branches, there is going to be things that you want to do that the other side will not allow.
But then Mary Sawatzky wouldn't know what it takes to work with the other side of the aisle to get something done because she served when the Democrats had total control.
What did she do when she was there? She gave us a $2 billion tax increase, only to end up with a $2 billion surplus. That doesn't make any sense, does it? Why did they take $2 billion out of the pockets of hard-working farmers and families in our district if they didn't need it?

She voted for a $90 million Senate office building that wasn't needed either.
And let's not forget she also voted for the failed MNSure system which has cost us over $300 million of our hard-earned tax dollars.
She made some very bad choices with our tax dollars and she doesn't deserve another chance to go to St Paul. Dave Baker did a good job representing our district and watching over our tax dollars and he deserves another term. Vote for Dave Baker on Nov. 8.
