From the commentary: Whatever one thinks of Trump's character, he is entitled to the same presumption of innocence as any other American. Trump always suffers from a presumption of guilt.

From the commentary: So do the research and vet these ads before believing them. And to poor Mrs. Smith, please get a real doctor, and take heart that your drug prices should actually go down. Unless, of course, you're diabetic.
From the editorial: Questioning law enforcement is fair game. We have seen far more than that this month. ... The politics of violence must be soundly rejected, beginning with those who so willingly incite it.

From the commentary: Biden understands what the choices are and what they involve, and after his performance of recent weeks, I trust him to make the right choice for himself, for the Democratic Party and for the country. ... But if he wants it, this much I can say: He deserves it.
From the commentary: Democrats are now saying they have done fantastically well, even better than they did when they had unified control of the federal government in the Obama years. It’s not persuasive. But it may be the best means available for them to rationalize coming down to earth.
From the editorial: So what should the GOP do? ... It is painfully obvious. Job one is to send Trump packing in some face-saving but determinative way and get behind dignified alternatives.
