All of west central Minnesota will have a very white Christmas as a fresh covering of snow arrived overnight. The Christmas holiday is a special time for all as we gather with family and friends. We encourage all to remember the reason of the Christmas season --celebrating the birth of the baby Jesus. It is a time to celebrate God's gift to the world -- his only son.

With the latest snowfall, we urge you all to take extra time and use caution if you are traveling this Christmas weekend.

We encourage all to remember that there are those who have needs during this holiday season. Please give generously with a cash gift to these charities -- Warm The Children, The Salvation Army, United Way of West Central Minnesota or your local United Way, or your local food shelf. They are all deserving charities who are helping individuals in need this holiday season.

To all the children of the region, the National Weather Service forecasts only scattered snow flurries and cloudy skies for lighting the way, Santa's sleigh is scheduled to arrive shortly after midnight in west central Minnesota.

From the West Central Tribune to you and your family, have a Merry Christmas weekend.
