I would like to respond to a recent letter to the editor from Patricia Carter Harding on the Ron Christianson issue.
Ms. Harding, I am puzzled. In your letter you say you do not know what the truth is (your words), yet you are more than willing to call the residents who want to recall Mr. Christianson vindictive and say that it is appropriate to refer to them as jackals.
So I have a few questions. Do you really feel it is appropriate to cast aspersions on people's motives and call them names simply because you find their allegations hard to believe? Are you in the habit of commenting on issues you profess to know nothing about and do you think that is wise? Do you believe that a person elected many times over is incapable of doing something so wrong that he or she might need to be recalled?
A suggestion: you have the right to free speech; use it wisely, be informed, for your opinions are important when you do.
P.S. I have voted for Mr. Christianson in the past.
