When I was a boy learning how to ride a bike, I had to learn the rules of the road. Among them: ride on the right side of the street, going with the traffic.
Recently I saw a bike lane painted on Lakeland Drive. At first, I was confused about it, because it seems to permit bicyclists to ride on the wrong side of the street.
But then I found out that the law permits this, as long as they stay in the lane.
However, it still bugs me when I see bicyclists on the wrong side of the street. To them I have this message: Watch out! Not all streets have bike lanes.
