In your July 9 reader opinion section, Mike Peterson declared Steve Peppin unfit for the Willmar City Council.
The two points made by Peterson were Peppin had too many irons in the fire and an entertainment business that was struggling.
Peterson then listed four other small businesses ventures Peppin is involved in.
To my knowledge those four small businesses are doing well and I heard that Peppin may revisit the La Movida Night Club at a future date.
Small businesses fail at a rate of 80 percent in the first two years. It seems Peppin has tipped those numbers upside down as his success rate is currently 80 percent.

Rather than exclude an entrepreneur from the council, it would seem prudent to incorporate his personality and business sense into the city's workings.
To me it seems Peterson jumped the gun on spreading negativity into Peppin's bid for a seat on the council.
