Like polar opposite universes, we've heard a contrast of late.

Here in Minnesota, Jerry and Patty Wetterling praised reporters and the media for helping to solve their son's case. "We have been blessed with attention to detail and accuracy," Patty Wetterling said as she addressed the Minnesota Newspaper Association convention. (West Central Tribune, Jan. 28)

"You were respectful. You were honest. You have a high bar here. I will continue to scream about that. We need you. We needed you. That is why we wanted to come today and thank you."
