Letter: Why not do more for the homeless?

I’m again impressed with the wealth of some people in the Willmar area.

I read of the couple offering a half million dollars for the Rice Rehab Center. Will I soon be reading of the wealthy people of Willmar area pledging, say, even half this amount for construction of housing for the homeless?

Did I read last year of the high school students at Willmar High School ending the school day with no home to go into?

Why, with all the money in this area, cannot dwellings be provided for homeless?
