In reference to July 10 article on the promotion of Gen. Stefanie Horvath:

I am sick of hearing of L,G,B, or T being put into the first of this or that.

How does that have any bearing on how he, she or whatever got promoted? Or does it?

In all the years and the promotions I got or the rest of the soldiers I served with, never was it announced that "a heterosexual male or female was promoted today."

Even when the first heterosexual female was allowed into the Combat Arms Division of the military. Or the first heterosexual female was allowed into the Special Forces Division.

How about "This qualified individual was upgraded to a higher position"?

Just food for thought.
