This is an open letter to all the school districts in our area.

So far, this year has featured a large number of cancellations and postponements. A number of fall sports, including football, won't be played until next spring.

How will that affect homecoming? Will that be postponed, too?

It doesn't have to be this way. There can still be some kind of homecoming celebration, minus the football.

Yes, it might seem awkward at first, but having some kind of celebration is better than none at all. All you have to do is come up with an alternative way to do this.

Here's a suggestion: you can have a "Mask-arade Homecoming."
