Regarding Paul Hoffer's July 31 West Central Tribune question “Did you ever imagine the United States Government would tell us to vaccinate our children or they can't go to school?"

Yes, Mr. Hoffer. For the same reason, the State of Minnesota tells us we can't drive if inebriated.

The unvaccinated children and inebriated drivers are both threats to the health and welfare of others.

Simple, isn't it?
