The Minnesota legislature will adjourn soon, but the Minnesota Senate has steadfastly refused to take care of people who most need care at this time. This disrupts the culture of connectedness among Minnesotans and is most disappointing.
Minnesota is a land of plenty that can afford to take care of those of us who need it. We must take mutual responsibility for the needs of all our neighbors. This will protect us from the worst of the pandemic and its economic disruption. Our people, our economy, and our state are only as plentiful as the least protected.
