I'm writing this letter in response to the opinion letter written by Ed Downey that was published Nov. 2 that said if you have a heartbeat you should vote for Clinton.

I find it very ironic that he said that, since Clinton supports abortions. Isn't abortion the killing of a heartbeat? A heartbeat starts at 18 days from conception. How many millions of heartbeats have been stopped because of abortion and how many more will stop if she is elected? A heartbeat is a heartbeat no matter what stage of life.

I know many don't believe Trump has the best stance on everything, but at least he stands pro life. In the past he may have not been as pro life, but people can change. God gave us free will in our lives to make decisions and to change. A heartbeat is a heartbeat, no matter whether it is 18 days or 8 months pregnancy, at two years old, 30 years old or at 80 years old. Abortion is the stopping of a heartbeat, period. Listen to your heartbeat, and I think you can agree.
