Clients and their supporters are calling for an end to the state program, which discharges few of the hundreds of the men it locks up.

Facing a shortfall of $14 million this fiscal year, the Department of Corrections is closing the two smallest correctional facilities in the state.

MOOSE LAKE, Minn. — The number of positive COVID-19 cases at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Moose Lake grew from one inmate to three on Wednesday, April 1.
Officials did not immediately offer information on how the virus may have been introduced into the facility.
