The number of COVID-19 cases reported in west central Minnesota dropped in the past week, but the state saw nearly 10,000 new cases again. Thirty new deaths were added to the state's pandemic total in the past week. The total deaths in Minnesota attributed to the coronavirus passed 13,000 a few weeks ago.

U.S. Marshals Service officers and local law enforcement on Friday night in Dawson, Minnesota, arrested a suspect in a quadruple shooting in St. Cloud. Two other men charged in the same incident had been apprehended earlier.

A 21-year-old Minneapolis woman was driving a side-by-side all-terrain vehicle that overturned Sunday in a drainage ditch in Lake Henry Township. She was airlifted from the scene.
