The Monson Lake Opry Fest is returning to Sunburg for its second year, and is bringing the sights and sounds of country music with it. The fest, which includes six country music acts, is the creation of Brad Danielson, a local musician.

Two drivers were transported for possible injuries after a crash Wednesday morning in Spicer. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, one vehicle failed to yield the right of way to another.
A New London woman convicted in Kandiyohi County District Court of gross misdemeanor criminal vehicular operation had a blood-alcohol content of 0.234% when her vehicle and another collided in October near Sunburg, causing injury to a 16-year-old driver.
