WILLMAR — A combination of strong service and an efficient attack led Ridgewater to a victory in three sets over Minnesota West on Wednesday.

The Warriors hit .307 between a balanced lineup en route to the 25-9, 25-20, 25-18 win.

"I felt we controlled the floor well with how we served and statistically it is the best we've serve received passes all season," Ridgewater head coach Joe Sussenguth said.

Between a team-high nine kills, three assists, three aces and one ace block, Cami Sletta led the all-around charge for the fifth-ranked Warriors.

Ridgewater recorded 11 serving aces while not many a single error on the Lady Jays.

An effective effort at the net was also key for the Warriors, who had seven blocks and just one block error. A bevy of hitters were tough to stop on the attack, as well, as Ashley Froelich had seven kills while Heidi Sellmann and Kallee Anderson had five apiece.

"We had a strong presence at the net defensively, productive touches that gave us offensive opportunities as the rally progressed," Sussenguth said.
