NA3HL Hockey: Steel, Kenny blank WarHawks

NEW ULM - The Willmar WarHawks managed just 20 shots against New Ulm and Steel goalie Ryan Kenny turned them all back in a 1-0 win on Friday at the New Ulm Civic Center.

The Steel's Tom Reilly scored the game's lone goal on an assist from Alec Moser at 16:31 of the second period.

Kenny had seven saves in both the first and third periods and he made six stops in the second.

Willmar goalie Luke Fry was almost as good, stopping 24 of the Steel's 25 shots.

Both teams were 0-for-2 on the power play.

The WarHawks fell to 4-4 overall and the teams play again at 7:30 p.m. today at the Willmar Civic Center.
