The first big weekend of the area golf circuit took place Saturday and Sunday, with Little Crow Country Club and Eagle Creek Golf Club being host to events.
The Little Crow Short Stop in Spicer took place with 34 players going 27 holes and it ended dramatically.
Danny Anderson won a one-hole playoff to edge Joey Dreier. Anderson and Dreier each shot 111s.

Anderson had a 72 on the first 18 holes, then shot a 39 on the Oaks Course. Dreier had a 73 and a 38. Anderson then won on Oaks. No. 1.

On Sunday in Willmar, Brady Madsen won the Eagle Creek Early Bird with a 107 over 27 holes. That was one stroke better than Pete Hannig (108) and two better than Anderson (109).
Todd Bergeth won the Senior Division with a 116. Isaac Nelson, the golf pro at Little Crow, won the first flight with a 116.
There were 52 golfers.
