BROOTEN -- Brent Koehler's three-pointer with 4:35 left in the first half gave Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa its first lead of the game and, from then on, the Jaguars were in control en route to an 85-65 Central Minnesota Conference win over Pierz on Friday night.
BBE improved to 12-0 in the loop and 24-0 overall. The Jaguars have already clinched the Central Minnesota Conference title outright this season and lead by four games with two remaining.
BBE is one of only two unbeaten boys basketball teams in the state, along with Sebeka, also a Class A team.
Kevin Kuefler led a balanced attack for the Jaguars with 22 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Brady Koehler added 19 points, Connor Goodwin 18 points and nine rebounds and Kirby Montbriand 10 points and six assists.
Preston Weber led Pierz (7-5, 11-12) with 20 points. Caleb Janson had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
