BROWNTON -- Atwater opened its amateur baseball schedule with a 9-2 win over Brownton on Sunday.
Six Atwater players collected the team's nine hits, with Jordan Tanner going 3-for-3 with a run batted in and three runs scored. Brian Kingery and Jacolby Anderson both drove in a pair of runs, and Ryan Walsh had two hits and scored twice.
Four Atwater pitchers threw, with Anderson picking up the win. He worked three innings and allowed just one hit while striking out five.
Atwater plays next against Kensington at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
