RAYMOND -- Bird Island's Jesse Bjur tossed a four-hitter while walking three and fanning seven to help the Bullfrogs topple Raymond 3-1 Sunday in a Cornbelt League game.
Zach Nelson, throwing for Raymond (2-3, 5-7), also pitched a complete game, allowing eight hits, one earned run, three walks and whiffing six.
Tyler Hebrink led the Bullfrogs with three hits. His RBI single in the seventh put Bird Island up 2-1 and Bjur's run-scoring hit made it 3-1 in the eighth.

The arm and bat of Nate Hebrink helped Sacred Heart improve to 11-1 on the season. Hebrink struck out five and gave up seven hits and just two walks without allowing an earned run in seven complete innings to collect the win. Hebrink also led off the third inning with a home run to put Sacred Heart up 3-1.
Dakota Freiborg doubled twice and singled twice to pace a 13-hit attack for the Saints. Ross Hebrink added an RBI single in the second and an RBI double in the fourth. The Saints invoked the 10-run rule when Freiborg doubled, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on Tom Lippert's single with two outs in the seventh.

Justin Johnson went 3-for-4, Chris Braaten singled twice and Jonah Johnson scored on an error in the third for Norway Lake-Sunburg.

Both teams put together five-run innings, but the difference was single scores by the Bullfrogs in both the third and fourth innings for a 2-0 lead.
The Chuckers went up 5-2 in the fifth using three hits and three walks. Vance Martin had a two-run single in the burst.

Luke Kramer went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI for the Bullfrogs. Brad Gass threw 41/3 innings of scoreless ball to get the win in relief of Dylan Gass.

The Rockets smashed five home runs, two from Jason Meyer, to bury the Stars. Kyle Knott, Justin Koenen and starting pitcher Caleb Hanson also homered for Raymond.

Hanson's first pitch was planted over the fence by Ryan Gandrud, but after that Hanson was near perfect, allowing only one walk and no hits to get the win.
