RAYMOND -- Tyler Knott struck out 15 batters in eight innings to lead Raymond to a 10-0 win over Starbuck in Cornbelt League action Wednesday.

Knott allowed just four hits and walked two batters. The Rockets scored a run in the bottom of the eighth to invoke the 10-run rule.

Jason Meyer hit a two-run home run in the second inning as Raymond took a 5-0 lead. The Rockets added four more runs in the fourth.

Kyle Knott went 3-for-5 to pace the Rockets. He doubled and drove in three runs. Meyer, Mike Jeseritz, Jed Nelson and Ben Ruter had two hits each.

Mike Andreas, Mike Van Overbeke, Kevin Mahoney and Matt Daniels had one hit each for the Stars.

Granite Falls 9, Bird Island 2

Craig Listul drove in four run with a single and a pair of doubles to lift Granite Falls (3-8, 5-8).

Curt Kvam allowed only one hit and one run over the first four innings. Cody Fruin then pitched five shutout innings for the win, allowing only one hit. He overcame seven walks while striking out eight.

Trailing 1-0, Listul's three-run double in the fifth inning gave the Kilowatts the lead for good.

Tyler Dammann had two hits for Granite Falls.

Jesse Bjur went the distance for Bird Island (3-9, 4-11), scattering nine hits, while walking five and striking out nine.
