COLD SPRING - Raymond hit the ball well all night and broke through in the fifth inning to run away with a 7-0 win to advance in Region 11C.

The game was broken open when Kyle Knott hit a two-run blast in the seventh. That was more than enough run support for the pitching combination of Jordan Smith and Zach Nelson.

Smith and Nelson combined on an eight-hit shutout and also had 10 strikeouts total.

Jordan Daugherty had an awesome game at the dish, contributing three hits and an RBI.

The Rockets continue their playoff run Saturday. They will play Watkins at 4 p.m. in Cold Spring.
