RAYMOND -- Raymond rapped 11 hits en route to a 9-0 drubbing of Bird Island in Cornbelt League baseball action on Friday.
Jason Meyer and Ben Ruter led the Raymond offense, each slapping three hits and driving in a run.
Mike Jeseritz plated three runs off a single and Brandon Larson drove in two runs with a double.
Tyler Knott earned the win for the Rockets by pitching six innings and allowing only four hits. He walked two and struck out six. Nate Hebrink pitched three innings of hitless relief with two walks and six strikeouts for Raymond.
Luke Stadtherr took the loss for the Islanders.

Milroy's Nate Deutz earned the win with eight innings of service, while scattering seven hits and striking out nine. He walked only one. Austin Deutz struck out the side in the ninth inning.
Tyler Kleinhuizen, Jeremy Hendricks and Jeff Hinderks each slapped a pair of hits for Sacred Heart. Kleinhuizen and Jeremy Hendricks had a double.
