ATWATER - Jeff Peterson’s game-winning single in the bottom of the ninth capped Atwater’s comeback from a two-run deficit in the final two innings of a 5-4 County Line League victory over Regal on Saturday night.
Matt Tanner singled in the tying run in the eighth inning, and winning pitcher JaColby Anderson set down Regal in the top of the ninth to set up Peterson’s run-scoring single to right-center field.
The game was moved up to Saturday night, and from Regal to under the lights at Kingery Field, because of forecasts for rain on Sunday. The teams swapped home dates.
Atwater’s Justin Schroeder was 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs.
Regal’s Jordan Beier was 3-for-5 and drove in a run.

Raymond fell behind 4-0 but rallied for five runs in the sixth and seventh innings to down Starbuck on Saturday in Raymond.
Mike Jeseritz was 3-for-5 with a double, and Brett Swenson was 2-for-3 and drove in a pair.
John Sawatzky had two hits, including a double, and drove in a run, Jordan Smith had two hits and Kyle Knott doubled and drove in a run for the 3-0 Rockets.
Four Stars had hits, with Jake Amundson and Jordan Lehtola driving in runs.
The Rockets play host to Montevideo at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Raymond.
