ATWATER — Josh Kingery was unhittable on Sunday afternoon.

Hosting the Starbuck Stars for a County Line League amateur baseball game, the Atwater Chuckers’ left-handed fireballer threw a no-hitter as part of an 8-0 victory at Kingery Field.

Josh Kingery finished the game with 21 strikeouts with just two walks surrendered.

Josh also led the Atwater offense, going 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and four stolen bases. David Kingery scored twice and stole four bases in a 1-for-5 outing. Jordan Olson finished 1-for-4 with two runs and two stolen bases.

Austin Ver Steeg started the game for Starbuck, striking out seven over five innings in the loss.

Paynesville 6, NL-Sunburg 5

A two-out RBI single by Grant Fuchs gave Paynesville the go-ahead run in a County Line League victory over Norway Lake-Sunburg at Sunburg.

Along with going 2-for-5 with three RBIs and a run, Fuchs got the win on the mound. He threw two scoreless innings of relief.

The Lakers’ top hitter was Justin Johnson. He went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.

Already up 5-2, the Litchfield Blues tacked on seven runs in the top of the fourth inning to get a North Star League win against the Rockford Crows at Rockford.

Ryan Quast finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs for Litchfield. Brady Smith hit a pair of doubles, going 2-for-3 with five RBIs.

Mitchell and Michael Gruber combined for five of the Starbuck Stars’ 13 hits in an exhibition win over the Kensington Norsemen in Kensington.
