MILROY - Dylan Gass pitched three strong inning in relief to help Bird Island hold off Milroy 4-3 on Sunday.
Gass relieved starter and winner Luke Kramer in the seventh inning and he scattered three hits. Kramer allowed three runs and struck out six in six innings.
Andrew Brooks was 2-for-4 and drove in two runs and Gass and Logan Sandgren both had two hits. Shawn Dollerschell and Tyler Seehusen both drove in runs.

Jordan Smith shut down Granite Falls after the second inning of a Cornbelt League game on Sunday.
Mike Jeseritz had three hits and Tyler Steen doubled in a run for the Rockets.
Smith worked seven innings and didn’t allow an earned run. He struck out six.
Raymond improved to 2-0 in the league and 5-1 overall. The Rockets play host to Milroy at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kevin Soine worked all seven innings, allowing six hits and striking out seven, and the Twins’ offense banged out 12 hits in a County Line League victory on Sunday at Minnewaska Field.
Jake Rambow hit a grand slam in the sixth inning and Soine, Ben Kulset, Jake Damhof and Nathaniel Swoyer all had two hits for the Twins.

A squeeze bunt by Ryan Walsh with the bases loaded brought home Jeff Peterson with the winning run in the 10th inning a County Line League game Sunday in Regal.
Regal attempted its own squeeze play in an attempt to tie the game in the bottom of the inning but it instead turned into a game-ending double play.
Walsh also drove in a run and Peterson had two hits.
Regal’s Shane Rademacher, Austin Hadley and Chris Beier all had two hits.
