Amateur baseball roundup: Liestman, Litchfield shut out Raymond

Amateur baseball report for Friday, May 20, 2022, in west central Minnesota. Blues get the 6-0 exhibition win over the Rockets

RAYMOND — Avery Liestman tossed seven shutout innings to help the Litchfield Blues amateur baseball team beat the Raymond Rockets on Friday.

Liestman struck out eight and walked no one. He allowed two hits. Former Rocket Eric Hulterstrum went 2-for-4 with a run for the Blues.

Mike Jeseritz and Brady Kienitz had hits for Raymond.

Mitchell Bouwman tossed a one-hitter, striking out 20 and walking five, to lead the Marshall A’s to the Corn Belt League victory at Richter Field in Granite Falls.

Bouwman threw 153 pitches, 94 for strikes. He’s a right-hander from Marshall who plays for Southwest Minnesota State.

Wabasso 11, Sacred Heart 6

The Wabasso Jaxx broke open the Corn Belt League game with five runs in the top of the 10 inning to beat the Sacred Heart Saints at Sacred Heart.

Colton Taylor went 3-for-5 with two runs, a walk, a stolen base and an RBI for the Jaxx.

Brandan Hoberg was 3-for-5 with two doubles, a walk, a stolen base and three runs for the Saints. Jose Ortiz and Isaac Strommer each had two hits for Sacred Heart.
