MAPLE LAKE — The Maple Lake Lakers scored in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat the Litchfield Blues 5-4 in a North Star League amateur baseball game Wednesday night.

Litchfield rallied from a 4-0 deficit with three runs in the seventh and one in the top of the ninth before the Lakers rallied.

Cody Klabunde went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base and Brady Smith was 3-for-4 with two RBI to lead Litchfield.

Grant Mergen was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Ben Reilley was 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI for Maple Lake.

Zeke Walton swatted a home run and Shawn Dollerschell was 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI to help the Bird Island Bullfrogs beat the Arlington A’s in an exhibition game at Arlington.
