HANCOCK - Montevideo’s Colton Vien worked a complete game, allowing an earned run while not issuing a walk and striking out eight, in a 5-2 Land O’Ducks League win over Hancock on Sunday.
Cam Vien was 3-for-4 and drove in a run and Joe Schlagel was 2-for-4 and drove in two runs.
Mitch Christianson and Eldon Evans also had RBIs for Monte.
Austin Steege had two hits for Hancock.
Montevideo improved to 3-3 overall, 3-1 in the league, and plays host to Madison at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kaleb Kalkbrenner scattered five hits over seven innings and Toby Chellin drove in three runs to lead the Litchfield Blues to and 8-2 victory over Bird Island on Saturday at Optimist Field.

Bird Island’s Riley Kramer drove in two runs and Elliot Serbus, Dylan Gass and Mark Neubauer also drove in runs in support of winning pitcher Brad Gass in a Highway 55 Tournament game on Saturday.
The game was shortened to five innings by rain and several other tournament games were cancelled by poor weather and field conditions.
Gass pitched all five innings, allowing three runs and striking out three.
