An old soul with NLS' Ashlyn Olson

The Wildcats senior talks music, food and her future leading up the team's first state gymnastics meet in 14 years

The New London-Spicer gymnastics team will compete in the Class A state meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday from Champlin Park High School..

Making their first state appearance since 2007, the Wildcats snapped their drought thanks to a deep and strong roster. One of the gymnasts responsible for the team breakthrough is Ashlyn Olson. The senior qualified for the state individual meet on the floor exercise.

Olson joined West Central Tribune sports reporter Patrick Bernadeau for a chat as the two talked about gymnastics, volleyball, kids movies, pasta, and much more.
