Youth hunters under age 18 who want to harvest an antlerless deer must apply for an either-sex permit in much of southwestern Minnesota this year, according to the Department of Natural Resources.

The deadline for applying for the permit is Thursday, Sept. 10. Adults, including muzzleloader hunters, who hope to bag an antlerless deer in a lottery area in southwestern Minnesota must also submit a lottery application by Sept. 10.
