RICHMOND - River Lakes led third-ranked St. Cloud Apollo by a goal after one period but the Eagles’ Gino Lucia scored a goal and assisted on three others in a four-goal second that lifted Apollo to a 4-1 win on Thursday.
Apollo, No. 3 in Class A, improved to 16-0 in the Central Lakes Conference and is 23-2 overall.
Rivers Lakes’ Payton Madison scored in the first period on assists from Jordan Pemble and Jake Jenson.
The Stars open the Section 6A playoffs playing host to Wadena-Deer Creek at 7 p.m. Saturday.
