Area Baseball Roundup: Litchfield powers past Prinsburg in legion ball

Winky Estrada and Christian Kelsey homer in a 16-5, six-inning win over the Orioles. Also: Albany beats New London-Spicer and in amateur ball, Raymond takes third at a tournament in Rosen.

PRINSBURG — Winky Estrada and Christian Kelsey slugged home runs to help the Litchfield American Legion baseball team beat Prinsburg 16-5 in six innings Monday night.

Estrada finished 3-for-4 with two runs, a walk and two RBI. He also doubled. Kelsey went 1-for-3 with two runs, a walk and an RBi. Bennett Locher went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI and Ben Alsleben and Avery Liestman each had two hits for Litchfield.

Kadi Dehmlow went 1-for-3 with a run, a walk and two RBI for Prinsburg.

Carter Birr tossed a complete-game seven-hitter, striking out eight and walking no one, to lead Albany to the victory over New London-Spicer at Avon.

For NLS, Aedan Andreasen went 2-for-3 with a run and a stolen base and Bennett Schultz was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two stolen bases.
