The Willmar Stingers head into the Northwoods League All-Star Game break on a three-game losing streak, two games under .500 and three games out of first in the Great Plains Division second-half race following a loss at Rochester on Sunday.
Willmar built a 3-0 through 2-1/2 innings but the Honkers scored six runs in the bottom of the third and three more in the fourth while shutting down the Stingers the rest of the way.
Willmar’s Branden Boissiere had two hits and scored a run and Brandon Bohning had a hit, an RBI and scored a run.
The Stingers are off Monday and Wednesday, breaks that are sandwiched around the All-Star Game on Tuesday in Waterloo.

Willmar returns to the field hosting Rochester on Thursday and Friday before playing another two-game weekend series in Rochester on July 20-21.

Rochester’s Nathan Webb took third on Aaron Simmon’s single and scored the winning run on an error in the bottom of the 10th inning against Willmar on Saturday in Rochester.
The Stingers opened a 6-2 lead through three innings but the Honkers chipped away and tied the game 7-7 in the bottom of the eighth when Zack Zalesky walked moved to third on Austin Schell’s double and scored the tying run on a Stinger error.
Willmar’s Daniel Walsh drove in two runs and Sam Baier had two hits and scored twice.
