SAUK RAPIDS - The No. 3-seed BBE girls basketball team edged No. 2 Kimball 65-64 on Saturday in the Section 5A-West semifinals.
The Jaguars, now 20-8, play top-seed Browerville/Eagle Valley (24-3) for the subsection title on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Sauk Rapids.
BBE’s Ashley Trustheim scored a team-high 17 points and she had nine rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals.
Jaden Gossen had 14 points, Bailey Buchholz scored 13 points, Morgan Gronli had 10 points and three steals, and Nicole Wesbur had eight points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
Kimball wrapped up the season 22-6. BBE lost twice to the Cubs by five total points in the Central Minnesota Conference regular season

CMCS draws MIB in Class A quarters
The Central Minnesota Christian boys team drew the No. 2 seed and open the 2016 Minnesota State Boys Class A Basketball Tournament against Mountain Iron-Buhl (24-6) at 3 p.m. Thursday at Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis.
Should the Bluejays (26-3) advance, they would play the winner between No. 3-seed Goodhue and unseeded Lake Park-Audubon (26-4) at 2 p.m. Friday at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
