La CROSSE, Wis. - The Ridgewater volleyball team locked up a Region 13A tournament spot with a three-set MCAC victory over Western Wisconsin Tech on Thursday.
The Warriors, ranked No. 3 in NJCAA Division III, play No. 4-ranked Harper Community College and NJCAA Division II team Moriane County at the Kishwaukee Tournament this weekend.
On Thursday, Jen Puncochar had 11 kills, Brenna Olsen had nine and Ariana Hasti finished with seven.
Kaitlyn Sterner had 20 set assists and a pair of ace serves.
βIt was nice to head into the weekend with a convincing win,β said Warriors head coach Joe Sussenguth.

Melrose won five matches and the championship at the Upsala Invitational on Friday in Upsala.
The Dutch defeated Bertha-Hewitt, Milaca, Royalton, Onamia and then the host school in the championship match.
Emily Goerdt had 43 kills, 44 set assists and 10 ace serves. Emily Tschida had 48 set assists and Justine Revermann had 23 kills.
Melrose improved to 23-5 overall.
